MURSION is Hiring a Remote Director of Marketing

Position Overview: At Mursion, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of education technology. We are looking for an innovative and experienced B2B Marketing Director with a track record for driving adult learning software solutions from concept to successful delivery. You will be the leader responsible for formulating and operationalizing a marketing strategy that is targeted, actionable, measurable, and executed. You will be accountable for the Marketing vision articulation and accelerating new business growth, working in strong collaboration with the sales and support, product team, and infrastructure organizations. You are expected to work with senior-level stakeholders and hands-on teams to drive execution and ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth, building a best-in-class global team to support these efforts. 

This is an FT, salaried, and fully remote position reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. The compensation package is $120-150K base salary, incentives and benefits based on applied experience, geographic location, and other factors identified by the hiring committee.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy for the ongoing expansion of customer reach and acquisition
  • Ownership of the content marketing and brand strategy
  • Create and optimize sales and marketing collateral, own email and product marketing campaign and communications
  • Drive integrated multi-channel marketing channel growth program to optimize the customer experience across the lifecycle journey from discovery, consideration, evaluation, nurture, purchase, and adoption to retention
  • Leverage customer insights and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks to recommend strategies and tactics.
  • Make recommendations based on data analysis and usability testing to improve the customer experience and optimize demand, margin, and conversion.
  • Maximize online revenue and ROI generated by marketing programs by increasing customer retention and acquiring customers within acquisition cost goals
  • Plan and execute digital marketing, including search, paid, social media, marketing database, media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with clients and account/media teams to develop strategies and apply media solutions to overall client objectives and KPIs with a primary focus on search campaigns and display marketing
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns across AdWords, LinkedIn, and digital marketing platforms
  • Analyze prospect user behavior, conversion data, customer journeys, funnel analysis, etc. to provide intelligent analysis and action plans 
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals
  • Participate in Account-Based Marketing activities, strategizing how to build brand awareness at target accounts
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Develop content campaigns and track effectiveness to deliver ROI
  • Perform Market and Competitive Research
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Help establish best practices across the enterprise and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • 8 years of marketing and sales experience with at least 3 years experience in SaaS-based adult learning, expertise in customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, and superb data-driven customer experience focus and B2B experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Solid understanding of content optimization, social media, email marketing, SEO and SEM, and multi-channel marketing, as well as familiarity with CMS, and ABM platforms, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and Analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Hubspot marketing required or advanced expertise in other CRM marketing tools.
  • Proactive leadership, with the ability to define and translate strategic planning into tactical execution, driving multiple concurrent projects to take initiatives from concept to optimized deployment - you have a strong sense of urgency and ownership to deliver solid results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a highly collaborative mindset - you listen, seek to understand, facilitate difficult conversations, communicate your vision, and are courageous with differing points of view, balancing perspectives, driving to outcomes.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of personal initiative and ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, high energy, and result-oriented proactive execution.
  • Excellent project management skills - track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
