Job Description
A fast-growing civil general contracting firm is looking for an Administrative Assistant to manage various responsibilities such as data entry, support with accounts payable/receivable, and general assistance as required. The ideal candidate is proficient in Spanish, understands accounting principles, and is experienced with QuickBooks. Collaborating closely with the bookkeeper, the new team member will enhance operational productivity by fostering effective communication, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and maintaining organizational effectiveness.
Salary: $38,000-$45,000
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position : Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
Conduct accurate data entry and maintain meticulous financial records using accounting software.
Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Aid in reconciling bank and credit card statements.
Prepare and submit invoices and expense reports in a timely manner.
Support cash flow management efforts.
Collaborate in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Provide assistance to the management team with financial analysis and forecasting.
Act as a liaison with external auditors, vendors, and clients as needed.
Undertake any other accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Fluent in Spanish
Willingness to learn and grow in a bookkeeping role
Familiarity with accounting principles is a plus, but not required
Proficiency in using computers and willingness to learn new software, especially QuickBooks and Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Uphold a high level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
