Accounts Payable Clerk
Branch: Los Angeles Law Firm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Firm. As a hybrid role, you will be responsible for performing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. This role requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity and a proven track record of success in performing Accounts Payable duties. The position reports to the AP
Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and process an average of 500-700 vendor cost invoices per week
- Post invoices daily and review A/P register to ensure all items entered are correct and assigned to appropriate GL accounts/Locations
- Respond to vendor payment status inquiries
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation, client cost advance policy and approval prior to payment
- Responsible for coordinating and performing all tasks associated with all Accounts Payable and weekly check processing
- Answer Attorney/Secretary inquiries regarding AP
- Credit Card (American Express and VISA) reconciliation and transact into ProLaw Accounting
System
- Provide support for ad hoc AP/Accounting matters required by CFO and AP Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance or related field a plus
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and be part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software using ProLaw a plus
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment and collaborate on multiple projects
- Experience in the Legal industry is a plus
Salary: $21 per hour
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
