We are currently searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen staff as a Prep Cook/Dishwasher.Key Responsibilities:Dishware Management: Washing, drying, and storing dishware for banquet functions and restaurants.Sanitation Compliance: Upholding state-mandated sanitation requirements for a safe and hygienic environment.Food Production Support: Assisting with food production as directed by kitchen management.Banquet Food Plating: Participating in banquet food plating when required.Code of Conduct Promotion: Promoting The MAC code of conduct in club activities, emphasizing quality service to members.Kitchen Cleanliness: Contributing to overall cleanliness in the kitchen, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.Safety Compliance:Complying with all Club safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions promptly, and reporting workplace injuries and illnesses to supervisors.Attendance and Task Performance: Maintaining regular and predictable attendance. Perform tasks as assigned by kitchen management team.Training Participation: Actively participating in all Club-related training classes.Experience and Skills:One year of dishwashing/food production experience in a large facility (preferred).Basic knife skills and familiarity with food production equipment.Effective verbal communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with diverse teams.Valid food handler's permit.Some experience in a kitchen environment is ideal; dishwashing experience is helpful but not required.Job Conditions: This role involves considerable walking and standing for extended periods on a hard surface, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Stamina is required for effectiveness during long and busy shifts. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.Supervisory Responsibilities: As part of your role, you will be responsible for training and supervising new dishwashers, ensuring proficiency in all aspects of the dish area and equipment.Interpersonal Contacts: Interact with internal contacts, including the Department Manager and all department staff, as well as external contacts such as members and contractors.
