The position of Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for a variety of job responsibilities at MRS. KLEIN’S KOSHER PICKLE CO. The purpose of the job description is to ensure that the person that is assigned the position is aware of the basic functions of the position.
The responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Clerk is to be able perform the general duties as outlined below. This is not an all-inclusive list of job responsibilities and can change as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities and General Duties:
Oversees the accounting and internal controls of the following systems:
· Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
· Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts Receivable’ data.
· Perform daily accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial information in accordance with GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Practices)
· Prepare routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports for operational review and decision making.
· Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
· Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
· Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients over the phone and email.
· Provide account assistance to business managers as needed throughout the company.
· Assist with the completion and preparation of monthly financial reports and annual audit.
· Work with company policy as outlined in the Mrs. Klein’s Kosher Pickle Co. Handbook
Required Education
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
· Microsoft Office – Advanced user
· Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
· Complex Problem-Solving Skills
· Customer Service orientation and negotiation skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a demanding and fast paced environment
· Read, write, and communicate using English language to perform job functions.
