MRM McCann is Hiring a SVP, Strategy Director Near New York, NY

MRM is seeking a SVP, Strategy Director to join our team in New York, NY. This person will be the Strategy lead on the team working on an iconic brand that is a priority business for the agency.This role will report into the Chief Strategy Officer.

The Responsibilities:

CLIENT WORK

*Lead integrated strategy on the account

*Take a holistic view of the business

*Identify problems and opportunities and strategically prioritize them

*Determine points of connectivity across the different disciplines of strategy - Lead Gen, Digital, Brand, Content, Go-To-Market/Comms...

*...As well as across the end-to-end ecosystem

*Design Total Human Experiences

*Be the lead and expert on the Lead Gen workstream on the account

*Targeting - including B2C and B2B, working with Data team

*Channel Identification - including customer, competitive and other landscape analysis

*Testing & Performance Analysis - working with Data team

*Supervise the other Strategy workstreams on the account

*Provide guidance on Brand strategy (e.g., culture/customer/competitive/etc. analysis, targeting, insight development, positioning, messaging, creative inspiration) to ensure the brand continues to earn a meaningful role in people's lives. Empathetically understanding relationships and journeys, including key moments and drivers & barriers.

*Provide guidance on Content strategy (e.g., site targeting, messaging, drivers to and from, owned elements of the ecosystem, how owned works with paid and earned, etc.)

*Directly contribute to and provide guidance to the team on overall Digital strategy (e.g., strategic selection of channels / formats / etc. for the work to come to life and to go to market).

*Nurture senior-level client relationships

*Understand the business deeply

*Help clients form their vision

*Identify short- and long-term objectives, drivers and barriers, and plans

*Serve as a trusted client advisor at the C-suite level

*Demonstrate exemplary partnership

*With other disciplines - Creative, Commerce, Data, Tech, Business Leadership, PM

*With partner agencies - Media, Social, PR, Retail, Internal Comms, Sales Enablement - to ensure an integrated approach

*Communicate compellingly

*Story tell in ways that make the complex simple and the simple compelling

*On the page and in person

*Communicate to agency leadership successes as well as needs for support

*Foster strong communications on the Strategy team on the business

THOUGHT & PROCESS

*Continually seek to level up Strategy excellence

*Critical strategic thinking skills

*Research and analysis rigor

*Mutual inspiration with Creative teams (e.g., inspiring creative briefs)

*End-to-end integration

*Serve as glue across Strategy Disciplines as well as other agency disciplines and network partners

*Represent Strategy at MRM, within McCann Worldgroup and IPG, and where appropriate, in industry

TEAM/COMMUNITY

*Promote an environment that encourages great ideas to flourish

*Be an open, engaged leader that inspires community and team across MRM, McCann Worldgroup and IPG

*Create a culture oriented towards positivity, problem-solving and resourcefulness

*Serve as part of MRM's Senior Leadership Team/SLT to contribute to the agency's goals, plans, etc.

The Requirements:

*Experienced "T-shaped" integrated Strategy leader

*Deep expertise in lead generation. Both B2C and B2B preferred, but not mandatory

*Strong experience with digital strategy, go-to-market/comms/channel strategy.

*Demonstrable experience across paid, owned and earned.

*Comfort and confidence in brand strategy, content strategy

*Proven client partner and agency collaborator

*12 years directly-related experience

*Bachelor's degree in a relevant area

*Curiosity, passion, collaborative spirit, communication skills, optimism to find the answer, work ethic to deliver
