As a Strategy Director, you manage strategy talent and lead interdisciplinary teams across multiple large accounts, building trusted relationships with C-suite level clients, shaping project methodologies, and setting the standards of leadership for junior team members. You are an escalation point for the Strategy team, providing guidance on how to navigate complex timelines, manage tricky client dynamics, and find successful solutions for challenging strategic questions. You will also work with your team to identify, nurture, and build client opportunities beyond the current project scope.
As a Strategy Director, you are responsible for:
Project Work & Client Relationships
● Leading cross-functional teams across several large projects and/or accounts; responsible for the business viability of projects and the quality of the work.
● Building trusted and enduring relationships with C-suite clients.
● Owning the overarching ‘story’ of accounts, ensuring Redscout’s vision and objective for relationship aligns with the work we’re doing each day.
● Overseeing development and delivery of pitches and proposals in partnership with the new business team, ensuring the thinking is sharp and the approach is sound.
● Leading the development of successful end-to-end project plans.
● Spotting organic growth opportunities and working with client services partners to develop them into wins.
● Managing complex and uncertain project situations with composure, drawing upon cross-disciplinary partners and leadership as needed to find a path forward. Team & Business Management
● Being an inspirational leader for strategists at Redscout; ensuring the team is motivated, providing value, and delivering impact at the appropriate level.
● Nurturing and developing junior talent as a direct manager, supporting the growth of your direct reports and those they manage.
● Partnering with strategy team leadership to build the skills and capabilities of the strategy team overall; critiquing and elevating the work of strategists across Redscout.
● Partnering with client services, growth, operations and design leaders to create successful relationships across the teams.
● Responding to and addressing resourcing, personnel and client and operational challenges quickly and collaboratively; elevating to leadership when needed.
