Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the Division's Export Compliance Manuals/Procedures, and ensure the procedures and processes contained in the Manuals/Procedures. Help create and maintain a solid Export compliance program.
• Remain informed of current export issues, regulations and laws through the attendance of compliance training sponsored by the government and industry experts.
• Familiarize appropriate Division staff with international trade laws and regulations
• Collaboratively analyze the Division' exports ensure international, customer, and supplier requirements are met.
• Monitor international inbound and outbound orders, investigating and expediting those orders which have been delayed.
• Prepare, update, retain requisite domestic and international export documentation.
• Comply with all TSA regulations and monitoring of the following but not limited too:

1. Training

2. IACMS Portal

3. Internal Export Compliance Audits

4. TSA Audits

5. TSA/ Export Compliance Trainings

• Stay up-to-date on all relevant international trade regulations, export controls, and sanctions. Interprets and ensures compliance with government regulations such as ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations),other trade compliance laws.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with export compliance, including potential fines or penalties.
• Implement internal controls to minimize compliance risks.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance program, making necessary adjustments
• Maintain accurate and complete records related to export transactions.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities.
• Generate internal reports to provide insights into compliance performance.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in the export compliance process.
• Other duties as assigned my management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Knowledge of import and export both ocean and air operations management
• Computer Knowledge is a must (Cargowise will be a plus)
• Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
• Excellent time management skills and should be able to multitask. Capable of managing a healthy amount of stress coming from customer deadlines and unforeseen circumstances.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
