The Senior Manager Airframe Field Services provides Leadership and guidance to the Airframe Field Services Team which provides quality and production oversight for our Airframe Essential Maintenance Providers (AEMP) locations. This role oversees six different locations with 38 Supervisors and is responsible for the oversight of outsourced aircraft maintenance. Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX Headquarters facility during business hours.U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.Southwest Airlines is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We continue to look for opportunities to reflect the communities we serve, and welcome applicants with diverse thoughts, backgrounds, and experiences.Responsibilities Coordinates with Technical Operations Departments to identify outsourcing needs and potential supplier- partnersDirects the selection process, participating in negotiations, and expediting contract execution in accordance with Chapter 14: Outsourced MaintenanceOrganizes and conducts regular Technical Operations partner reviews to monitor results, align incentives with performance goals, providing feedback, and subjective evaluationsSecures the SSID Program from the previous operator/lease company for any purchased or leased aircraft over the initial SSID threshold in accordance with Chapter 33-102 Supplemental Structural Inspection Program (SSIP) - FAA ApprovedInvestigates potential for expanding each partnershipCoordinates and supervises the overhaul and repair of aircraft by contractors and repair agenciesManages and directs Manager Airframe Field Services and Supervisor Airframe Field ServicesEvaluates and advises the repair agency of technical acceptance for the repairs by coordinating with Technical Operations Departments, OEM, and FAA as necessary to ensure repairs are in accordance with approved dataCoordinates and supervises aircraft overhaul and repair by Substantial Maintenance ProvidersCoordinates the selection process of providers, negotiating, and administering contract executionProvides leadership for AFS Team Leaders and Supervisors in accordance with Chapter 14: Outsourced MaintenanceQuality oversight and determining compliance with standards set forth in the MPM and ensuring the Provider complies with the Maintenance ProgramMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to maintain a high level of confidence and trust with executive leadershipAbility to demonstrate and maintain a high regard for confidential and sensitive informationAbility to think like an owner.
