Morgan's Wonderland is Hiring a Customer Care Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

JOB TITLE: Customer Care Specialist-Seasonal
REPORTS TO: Guest Relations Supervisor
DEPT: Guest Relations
POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the Guest Relations department in implementing management methods for the professional operation of Morgan’s Wonderland Park and its facilities, focusing on safety and guest satisfaction. Assists with all functions and processes related to the operations of the park and the Welcome Center. The Customer Care Specialist will directly handle birthday parties, special projects, group entrances, memberships, and assist with other general duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Be knowledgeable about Morgan’s Wonderland, programs, policies, and procedures to ensure excellent customer service when helping or answering questions of guests and visitors.
  • Manage a large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
  • Identifying guests’ needs, clarifying information, researching every issue, and providing solutions.
  • Provide consistent highly personalized check-in services to groups, events, and park guests.
  • Work closely with guests’ special out-of-the-ordinary requests as needed and appropriate.
  • Work with the Guest Relations Supervisor to maintain safety and security programs for the well-being of the park guests and employees.
  • Assist with making reservations, responding to customer complaints, and processing refunds.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
General
  • Create and foster an atmosphere of friendliness and hospitality in the park office to ensure an enjoyable experience for staff, and guests.
  • Cultivate staff morale by monitoring team dynamics and individual needs.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development and maintains an understanding of current best practices.
  • Take ownership and support the park administration in the effective implementation of the Park’s Emergency Response Plan.
  • Attend and participate in employee training and meetings
  • Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • This position requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on customer service in hospitality, theme park, or other business organization. Experience working with non-profits preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Possess excellent administrative, hospitality, and public relations skills.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and organize varied/multiple tasks
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, excel, teams, and Outlook.
  • Strong Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and core values of Morgan’s Wonderland as well as the implementation of these values in all daily work activities.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work as part of a team; maintain a positive attitude even under stress.
  • Mandatory to work weekends and have a flexible schedule that varies by year’s season.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting upper body.
  • Capable of viewing computer monitors.
Environmental Demands
  • The work environment is an outdoor park environment with continuous outdoor activity and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Must remain alert with no lapses of consciousness
  • Must be able to withstand walking/standing for long periods of time
  • Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate park staff attires always.
