Moonflower is Hiring a Kitchen Manager Near Chicago, IL

MOONFLOWER, located in Portage Park, is currently seeking a KITCHEN MANAGER to lead our BOH team. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic chef who is looking for that next step.

As a KITCHEN MANAGER, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

KNOWLEDGE:

• Responsible for preparing all food items according to standardized recipes

• Cooking, plating, garnishing, and expediting food

• Maintaining communication with front of house staff to ensure timely service to the guests

• Using safe food handling procedures

• Oversee all product ordering and communication with vendors

• Maintaining cleanliness of back of house (BOH)

• Maintaining health department standards in all areas of the restaurant

REQUIREMENTS:

1 years experience as a Sous Chef or KM

Ability to multi task

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work nights and weekends

Up-to-date sanitation certification, including Food Manager Certificate

Proven track record and stable work history

Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, or Sheets

Ability to multitask
