Montgomery Place is Hiring a Campus Nursing Director Near Chicago, IL

Position Summary

The Campus Nursing Director is the team leader of all RNs and LPNs, who are providing care throughout the CCRC and the greater community, as applicable. This role is responsible for the management and delivery of nursing care and service, while assuring that the nursing team provides the exemplary customer service standard of Montgomery Place and Life Care at Home. In addition, responsibilities will include strict regulatory compliance, adherence and enforcement of Montgomery Place and Life Care at Home standards, policies and procedures, RN and LPN monthly, quarterly and annual performance reviews and recommendations, strict budget adherence, and collaboration with Senior Leadership, as directed. This role will directly report to the Director of Healthcare Services/Administrator (DOHSA).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Overall responsibilities

  • Administer RN and LPN staffing, based on Healthcare Administrator’s directive and/or approval, including the adherence to anticipated payroll hours. Participate in the recruitment and selection of new RNs and LPNs; oversee compliance and document the performance of RNs and LPNs; maintain a strict adherence to a person centered care environment.
  • Ensure that RNs and LPNs are oriented, trained and in-serviced, with documention, to perform their duties for their assignment
  • Administer organizational structure, as provided, with weekly evaluations provided to Senior Leadership Team, and monthly QAPI recommendations to the DOHSA.
  • Provide monthly status report to Senior Leadership, on all residents and clients receiving nursing care and service, both within Montgomery Place and the Greater Community, as applicable. Provide a written monthly status report to DOHSA, for Board of Directors, as directed.
  • Monitor all city, state and federal guidelines that pertain to RNs and LPNs, including all regulatory documentation required in a CCRC, including a long-term care facility.
  • Provide organized, catergorized information binders to Inspectors or Surveyors and physically accompany them on their rounding of the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living floors, as applicable.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all Care Plans and Service Plans process to ensure strict compliance
  • Oversee and execute the psychotropic medication program; Provide weekly reconciliation documention and recommendations to the DOHSA.
  • Reconcile and maintain strict pharmaceutical compliance, in conjunction with the Pharmacy Provider, on all carts, med rooms, and storage areas, as applicable.
  • Execute all city, state and federal regulatory healthcare compliance, including psychotropic medications and restraint reductions; Provide monthly QAPI update and recommendations.
  • Oversee development and implementation of restorative programs; Provide monthly QAPI update and recommendations.
  • Provide daily reconciliation of EMR (PCC) to ensure that all RN and LPN documentation complies with all city, state and federal guidelines and adheres to all Montgomery Place and Life Care at Home standards, policies and procedures.
  • Oversee Medicare utilization and compliance, as applicable; Supervises the MDS Coordinator and coordination; Participates in all meetings, including Triple Check Process.
  • Oversee Medicare rates of reimbursement through the MDS process.

General Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Montgomery Place and Life Care at Home with the highest standards while always maintaining exeplempary customer service delivery.
  • Participate in and maintain current status on all training and education required by the Organizations; Confirms same of all RNs and LPNs on a perpetual basis.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of Senior Leadership.
  • Openly accept feedback, as well as provide feedback, as applicable; Expects same of all RNs and LPNs on a perpetual basis.
  • Escalate issues when there is appearance that Organizational standards are deficient or not present.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations of the organizations, including strict HIPAA and safety compliance; Confirms same of all RNs and LPNs on a perpetual basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
