The New Roseland Community Hospital is seeking and enthusiastic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead and manage our professional nursing staff. This position requires a leader who is committed to providing compassionate care and who is efficient in day-to-day operations. This is a full-time, salaried position. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and retirement savings plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reports to Clinical Services Administrator
· Manage a team of nurses and other personnel, providing direction, and guidance to ensure quality-nursing services.
· Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
· Coordinate the evaluation of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures that align with best practices.
· Participate in the development of quality improvement plans.
· Monitor the efficiency of nursing staff and take appropriate actions when necessary.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff, patient care, and operational quality.
· Oversee the Nursing Safe Staffing Committee.
· Maintain high standards of care for all patients.
Qualifications, Training and Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration are required.
A current professional nursing license in the State of Illinois.
At least five years of experience in nursing management or a related role.
Demonstrated knowledge of nursing laws, regulations, and best practices.
Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
