Mission Neighborhood Health Center is Hiring a Data Analyst Near San Francisco, CA
The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services.
We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high-quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve with a focus on the Latino Spanish-Speaking Communities.
We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our Data Analyst role. This position reports to the Quality Improvement Manager and is a Regular, Full Time, Exempt role with a salary range of $70,600 to $83,000 with full benefits.
Primary Objective:The Data Analyst’s primary objective is to organize and manage large and varied data sets, analyze healthcare data primarily from MNHC’s electronic health records (EHR) to optimize business operations and quality improvement, and communicate their findings through the use of data visualization and detailed reports.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced knowledge of EHR, practice management, and population health registry functions and reporting capabilities.
- Use systems to track, measure, and publish clinical and patient experience data.
- Analyze data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and decision making.
- Use healthcare data to achieve administrative needs and goals.
- Understand data storage and data sharing methods.
- Investigate data to find patterns and trends.
- Understand healthcare business operations.
- Utilize different data sources for analyses.
- Convert data into usable information that is easy to understand.
- Develop reports and presentations.
- Communicate analytic insights to management.
- 1 years of experience in an analytic role.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or statistics preferred.
- Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL.
- Proficiency with data manipulation applications.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of data management applications.
- Knowledge of health care data management.
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple demands and prioritize effectively.
- Maintain HIPAA standards.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
