- Be seen and heard - this position reports directly to the President.
- Position offers professional flexibility - work onsite in the school business office, located minutes south of downtown Chicago and also remotely intermittently.
- Directly supervise a team of two: an office manager and an accountant.

- Perform daily cash flow/forecasting, review/approve transactions, balance scholarship accounts, prepare budgets, maintain fixed assets, manage credit line and construction loans, perform month-end/fiscal-end close, prepare financial statements and Board packets, etc.
- Oversee annual audit and tax preparation; timely auditor and tax documents, Form 990.
- Maintain and review annual insurance policies (corporate and employee benefits).
- Review and approve payroll.
- Ensure compliance with various governmental and insurance regulations.
- Oversee other nonfinancial areas, such as HR systems and internal controls effectiveness and efficiency, etc.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
- Accounting information systems experience (Great Plains and ERP-CAMs)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; Paylocity experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, FASB Pronouncements, and IRS regulations.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, effective communication skills, excellent judgement and discretion.
