Position: Older Adult Program Director (Full Time)
Department: Senior Services
Reports to: Millennium Development OAC Supervisor, and Executive Directors.
Site Location: Brooklyn NY
Position Summary:
The Director is responsible for planning, implementation, and supervision of all aspects of the NYC Aging Program.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the office and all activities run by the Older Adult Program
· Collect all data and input it into Peer Place daily, also supervise Assistant Director and Data Manger
· Closeout each month and work closely with the Fiscal Department to ensure services are completed.
· Use Prism and Simple Servings to do quarterly menu.
· Attending trainings to help better service the membership
· Prepare monthly activities and calendars for membership
· Provide Case Assistance and Information Referrals to members.
· Hire and provide direct supervision to a multi-disciplinary Older Adult Program staff team and human services interns.
· Recruit, train, and supervise or oversee the training and supervision of volunteers.
· Train, supervise, and support the Older Adult Program staff in the use of client assessment tools, and the creation and implementation of service plans for case management, including the keeping of electronic and paper client files, referrals to outside agencies, and counseling techniques.
· Monitor the Older Adult Program budget and authorize expenditures within parameters of budget.
· Convene the Older Adult Program Board quarterly. Keep Older Adult Program Partners informed about key matters related to the Older Adult Program. Obtain feedback from and work collaboratively with Partners on program goals and initiatives.
· Work collaboratively with NYC Aging and with other Older Adult Programs.
· Develop and implement strategies to reach out to potential Older Adult Program members.
· Oversee the initial registration process, including intake and needs assessment
· Develop, implement, and administer a wide variety of new, cutting-edge, and evidence-based health promotion programs, as well as educational and recreational programs to benefit Older Adult Program participants.
· Conduct sustained community outreach and marketing, raising awareness of the Older Adult Program to potential community partners who might provide services to Older Adult Program members and/or develop collaborative activities and initiatives.
· Work collaboratively with other Senior Services programs and Community Organizations.
