Environmental Testing Laboratory located in Midtown Manhattan seeks candidates for Data Entry Clerk / Office Assistant position - multiple opening available to cover 24/7 business hours.

Avaliable positions are :

Saturday to Wednesday from 2pm to 10pm.

Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 10pm.

The candidate must be courteous, detail-oriented, well organized, and capable of working calmly in a fast-paced setting at times.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Logging in samples received from clients
• Transcribing field paperwork and results
• Emailing and mailing reports to clients
• Greeting and assisting clients who may walk-in, call in, or email
• Maintaining a clean and organized work place and shared office space

Requirements:

• Must be able to take direction and learn quickly in a hands-on environment
• Must be able to work both independently or with a team
• Must be able to prioritize assignments as per training when working independently
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must have excellent computer and typing skills - ideally 40-60 wpm with a low error rate
• Must be able to pay meticulous attention to detail during repetitive tasks
• Must be courteous and respectful at all times, in person and on the phone, even when dealing with difficult individuals or during stressful times

Shifts are staggered 7am-3pm (first), 3pm-11pm (second), and 11pm-7am (third), including on Sunday and Saturday. Full time hours will be scheduled based coverage needs - some flexibility is required on both sides.

This can be an entry level position - training will be provided assuming that you are the right candidate for the position. Future advancement is always possibility - again, training will be provided when the time comes depending on the availability of open positions and shifts.
