Metal Exchange is Hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator Near St. Louis, MO

Overview

Job Summary:

The Metal Exchange Accounts Payable Coordinator enters daily financial transactions of the Company to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of the financial obligations of the Company.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • 70% of time spent – Code and enter invoices in the general ledger, prepare payments, and filing of paid invoice packets.
  • 10% of time spent – Answers questions from peers and other departments.
  • 5% of time spent – Assists with the completion of the month-end closing in a timely manner by making sure all transactions in a given month are entered into the system.
  • 5% of time spent – Identify transactions that do not comply with the Company’s policies and escalate to the appropriate manager.
  • 5% of time spent – Communication with internal and external suppliers/customers
  • 5% of time spent – Other general accounting duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Education
    • Required: High School Diploma
    • Desired: Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Experience
    • 4 years with High School Diploma
    • Or 0-4 years with minimum Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Solid computer entry skills
    • Solid attention to detail skills and self-review of work
    • Solid Math skills
    • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
    • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
    • MS Office/Outlook experience preferred
