Our services include 100% affordable housing at 21 locations, family violence program, Holocaust survivor assistance, geriatric social work, crisis intervention, public benefits access, and the largest free kosher food distribution program in the world. Our network of 120 food pantries, affordable housing sites, and JCCs provide services directly in neighborhoods across New York City.
Position Summary:
The role of the Director of Geriatrics Programs is to oversee Met Councils Social Services program that focuses on the senior population. This position directly supervises the program director and managers of the Holocaust Survivors Program, Senior Repair Program, Elder Abuse Prevention Program, and all other Geriatrics Programs. The Director will ensure departmental deliverables are met, manage the program budget, respond to funder requests for progress reports, work with program managers to plan and oversee special events, maintain relationships with partner agencies (including JCCs, YMHAs and other Social Service organizations), and ensure that clients are being appropriately served. The Director will also provide direct service to clients as needed and represent the organization at meetings and conferences.

Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
