SUMMARY
The Learning Technology Consultant's passion is to move away from a one-time learning experience, into a customized data driven learning journey that connects associate to manager, yielding observable and measurable results. The consultant works collaboratively with the other BSMH departments and subject-matter experts to develop experiences that promote engagement, mastery of learning concepts, and learning analysis. The ultimate goal is to drive innovative digital solutions and leverage a unified learning ecosystem to inspire the creation of learning experiences that cut through the clutter and meet our associates in the moment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Applies deep programming expertise, utilizing instructional design models, development tools, and applications including but not limited to Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, and Tiled.
Executes all phases of the instructional design process for both stand-alone experiences and larger-scale learning journeys.
Identifies specific learning measurements through a solid understanding and application of learning data technologies, including LMS, LXP, xAPI, LRS, contributing to learning analytics dashboards.
Challenges and enhances the functionality and capability of existing standard authoring tools to advance the online learning program.
Leads conversations and demonstrates effective, proactive communication with subject matter experts, partners, and team members.
Identifies new technologies and tools to accelerate and enhance the end user experience, promote retention of learning experiences, and support organization goals.
Maintains proficiency in new developments in learning science, learning design, and learning analytics through continuous research to ensure our solutions to ensure delivery of innovative solutions.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required:
5 years professional experience in designing and developing learning experiences, in roles such as instructional designer, learning experience designer, learning architect, or similar.
Minimum of five-years’ experience with utilization of a variety of electronic learning and collaboration technologies.
Experience developing content in web publishing tools using eLearning publishing or graphics tools. Experience in visual design, specifically working in 2D/3D visual aspects. Ability to design mobile-first learning (not just responsive).
Experience working with learning management systems, Learning Record Stores, xAPI, and tools that support mobile and social learning. Demonstrated ability to provide effective consulting, coaching, and training to develop learning programs and interventions.
Strong project management and communication skills; Ability to manage, prioritize and complete simultaneous projects in a fast paced environment and proactively provide updates.
Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team in a collaborative, professional environment.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Preferred:
Minimum of five years’ experience with emerging learning trends and content creation (e.g. gamification, virtual reality, xAPI).
Experience in designing innovative adaptive learning, social learning, micro-learning, scenario-based learning, conceptual, and system learning.
