C. Knowledge & Skills 1. Requires attention to detail. 2. Ability to paint with a variety of brushes, rollers and other paint delivery tools. 3. General knowledge of the different types of paints and solvents, wallpaper, baseboard and caulking.

III. Physical Demands
Standing on feet for long periods of time; lots of walking; ability to safely and properly lift 75 pounds; climb ladders; will occasionally work at heights greater than ground level with potential to use man-lift to reach work area. Ability to wear proper PPE, N-95 or equivalent.

Generally well ventilated, well lighted, heated and cooled.

VI. Job-Specific Responsibilities
A. Assesses maintenance problems and completes repairs without direct supervision and in a timely manner. B. Proficient with tools and equipment necessary to complete wall finishing and painting. C. Prepares supplies lists and orders supplies to complete task assignments. D. Performs routine plaster and drywall repair as needed. E. Performs routine painting and trimming as needed with professional skill and efficiency.
VII. Additional Responsibilities
A. Complies with and is knowledgeable of hospital and department safety procedures and policies.
B. Contributes to the care of the environment by maintaining work areas and assisting with light housekeeping tasks as needed.
C. Is knowledgeable of and participates in the hospital’s performance improvement program.
D. Utilizes computer system as needed for information and to complete tasks.
E. Maintains customers’ rights (confidentiality, privacy, safety, security, and decision making).
F. Interacts with customers, who may include patients, physicians, coworkers and visitors in a manner that exemplifies the hospital’s mission and core values.
G. Attends annual in-service, department meetings and other training sessions relative to job.
H. Is knowledgeable of and adheres to hospital and department procedures and policies.
I. Adapts easily to changes in work assignment and environment.
J. Is willing to assume additional responsibilities.
K. Performs basic tasks in a timely manner with minimum guidance and supervision.
