The incumbent is expected to team with ORBIS account managers to maximize sales growth by developing meaningful customer relationships the yield account value. 1. Working with assigned account managers to establish strategies, objectives, and action plans in regard to custom protective returnable packaging for key accounts within assigned territories.2. Achieve effective territory coverage through a combination of joint and independent sales calls, working closely with ORBIS regional account managers.3. Prospecting to grow customer base within assigned territory.4. Create high quality custom designs, samples, and cost estimates as required.5. Manage protective returnable packaging design projects throughout the project life, from initial design and proposal though customer order point.6. Customer visits and on-site consultation to drive protective returnable packaging revenue and margin within assigned territories.7. Drive new market development (e.g., rack, general industrial, electronics) as well as new product
introductions to
targeted customer base.8. Conceptualize part layouts and produce density studies utilizing our specialized CAD viewer for optimizing pack densities.9. Maintain exceptional communication with regional account managers and other sales engineers to ensure an effective team selling effort across territories and accounts.10. Develop new and innovative approaches to market requirements.11. Provide cost estimates within a timely manner while adhering to sound engineering principals and ISO compliance.12. Align Packaging designer resources to the needs of the business.13. Balance of sales and engineering skills.14. Spatial ability- 3D design and model recognition.15. Ability to convey concepts, requirements via sketching.16. CAD design capability.17. Ability to handle the stress of working with others.18. Availability outside of normal business hours.19. Ability to lead by example.20. Travel is required to support on site meeting activities, including overnight stays and extended work hours during meetings.
