MegaKC is Hiring an Estimator Near Kansas, MO

Most importantly, our 80 plus employee-owners take immense pride in our projects and the outcomes of the neighborhoods in which they’ve built. MegaKC’s combination of employee ownership, long-range planning, and investment in improvements has resulted in consistent, sustainable growth.

MegaKC, your local Kansas City General Contractor, has an opening for an Estimator at our North Kansas City office! Our ideal Estimator candidate will be a self-starter, proficient in construction software, and possess the ability to coordinate and manage rapport with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and owners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review bid documents prior to bid date (plans, specs, addenda, soil reports, etc.).
  • Visit project sites and complete all pre-bid, progress reporting, and post-bid processes.
  • Track and communicate with all subcontractors and vendors involved in bid process.
  • Review current job productions, costs compared to bid estimate with MegaKC project manager(s).
  • Updating bid status in Bid2Win software.
  • Attend/participate in in-house closeout meetings with Project Team (Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Administrator, CEO, and COO).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree is preferred but not required
  • Valid state driver’s license in good standing
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Construction software proficiency, Pro-Core experience is preferred
