We are seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator with a proven ability to manage an estimating department and possesses extensive knowledge of electrical, medium voltage, utility and low voltage estimating.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Proven ability to lead and manage a team of estimators to generate over $150,000,000 of revenue per year.
· Develop and implement training methods and procedures.
· Lead the department to meet company financial goals
· Review bidding opportunities and manage department workload
· Review for accuracy and completeness all estimates and proposals
· Track data against company goals and report to Executive team
· Coordinate and participate as Executive team member to design and implement company initiatives.
· Continuous follow-up with existing general contractors and customers.
· Understand costs and overhead to achieve profitability for electrical construction jobs.
· Deliver accurate proposals utilizing multiple delivery methods such as design/build, pre-construction budgeting, plan and specification and change order
· Solicit subcontractor and vendor proposals and analyze to determine best value
· Lead written RFP proposal teams
· Oversee operations of the estimating department
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or an equivalent degree.
· Minimum 10 years’ experience as an electrical estimator in electrical construction.
· Demonstrated minimum 10 years’ experience managing direct reports with an estimatingemphasis.
· Demonstrated knowledge of multiple public and private construction sectors, underground and overhead utility, industrial, commercial, healthcare, education, water treatment, entertainment facilities, etc.
· Experience using ConEST Intel ibid software preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience estimating low voltage systems such as nurse call, voice/data, security, access control, nurse call, sound masking, DAS systems, etc.
· Experience estimating medium voltage electrical systems.
· Experience estimating underground and overhead utility electrical systems.
· Flexibility to handle changing deadlines and priorities.
· Strong ability to conceptually estimate and understand electrical systems.
