Medical Professionals is Hiring a Patient support specialist Near Tyler, TX
We are in search of an experienced Patient Support Specialist to join our Pharmacy Team! Our compassionate care team takes pride in helping patients navigate the often-challenging healthcare environment.
Job Duties :
- Contact patients to set up prescription refills while collecting necessary information to support refill process
- Submit for insurance re-authorizations
- Obtain necessary documentation from doctor offices and / or patients
- Ensure clinical compliance of patients by asking pre-determined questions and escalating to a pharmacist
- Process all faxes and E-script orders
- Manage and process all refills
- Work on prior authorizations and insurance over-rides as needed
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with the regulatory guidelines and standards of practice of the State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, Dept of Health & Human Services, Medicare, ACHC, URAC & OSHA
- Triage patient and pharmacist related questions and channel to the appropriate person
Qualifications :
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration and / or certification in good standing (or commitment to obtain certification / registration within first 60 days of employment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic skill level in Microsoft software & medical terminology
- 1 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy
