POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Support Specialist will work with the School of EMS (SOE) administration team in supporting an assortment of business and education applications. The position will focus on managing and maintaining core software applications as well as providing primary support to the SOE staff and customers/students with their requests. The position will work closely with the Lead Applications Administrator and School of EMS DOO in supporting these software applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide primary IT support for business applications, including the student directory (Campus Café), Learning Management System (Canvas), and Microsoft 365 used by staff and students. SOE depends on the SaaS model to keep our online education at a high level of efficiency.

Work with school staff to deploy new integrations and scale existing.

Provide primary IT support and troubleshooting for business hardware, including desktop/laptops/printers etc. used by the School of EMS.

Manage and maintain ticketing system for employees and students. 

Develop internal and end-user documentation.

Collaborate with Corporate Lead Applications Administrator on deploying or adjusting existing or new IT systems.

Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.

Perform other duties and special projects, as identified, and assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

2-3 years of IT support experience. 

Working knowledge of Windows 10, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and WAN/LAN topographies in a business environment.

Working in a school/education facility a plus.

Interpersonal skills: Working with office staff and students remotely or in person, and facilitating customer/vendor relationships.

Exposure to the Microsoft 365 platform as a user or administrator.

Desire to learn and problem solve.

PowerShell or other scripting languages a plus. 

Education and Certifications

Associate’s degree, or higher, in IT field preferred, or 2-3 years of IT support experience.

Competencies

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Professional office environment
