Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is Hiring a Remote Aquatics, Community Aide - Baltimore City Recreation and Parks

THIS IS A NON-CIVIL-SERVICE/SEASONAL/TEMPORARY POSITION Salary: $15.00 Hourly OPENING DATE: 03/25/2023 CLOSING DATE: 05/25/2024 AT 12:00 MIDNIGHT Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks’ Aquatics Division is seeking dependable and qualified individuals to fill these seasonal/temporary non-civil service Community Aide - Aquatics positions. IMPORTANT: Applicants must show the minimum requirements for each position listed on their application, as well as, attach the required certifications applicable to this position to be eligible. You may obtain information about acquiring the various certifications by contacting Baltimore City, Department of Recreation and Parks at 410-396-3838 or your local American Red Cross Office. Individuals selected for this position will be required to pass a physical exam, a drug & alcohol screening and a criminal background check prior to being appointed. POSITION DESCRIPTION The selected candidates will monitor activities of patrons at municipal swimming pools and provide assistance and/or support to the Swimming Pool Manager or Operator at entrance, locker room, deck, etc. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS – Minimum Age Preferred 21. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS – CPR & First Aid and AED certification issued by the American Red Cross or an equivalent certification. NOTE: THIS IS A POSITION OF TRUST. Those eligible that are under final consideration for appointment will be required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information and submit to a physical examination, which includes drug and alcohol testing.
