Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is Hiring a Remote Swimming Pool Manager - Baltimore City Recreation and Parks

THIS IS A NON-CIVIL-SERVICE/SEASONAL/TEMPORARY POSITION SALARY: $19 Hourly OPENING DATE: 03/25/2024 CLOSING DATE: 05/25/2024 AT 12:00AM MIDNIGHT Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks’ Aquatics Division is seeking dependable and qualified individuals to fill these non-civil service, seasonal/temporary Swimming Pool Manager positions for our upcoming 2024 Pool Season to begin in May of 2024 and end in August of 2024. IMPORTANT: Applicants must attach the required certifications applicable to this position to be eligible. You may obtain information about acquiring the various certifications by contacting Baltimore City, Department of Recreation and Parks at 410-396-3838 or your local American Red Cross Office. POSITION DESCRIPTION The selected candidates may coordinate the daily operations of a large public swimming pool, which can include supervising Lifeguards and Pool Attendants, trains lifeguards in pool safety, investigates and reports pool accidents to superiors, operates pool filtration system and tests pool for water purity, recommends new procedures for controlling swimmers & improving working conditions, cleans pool facilities & grounds, performs pool maintenance, prepares maintenance reports and other related duties as required. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS – Minimum Age 20 and have three years experience in operating a Swimming Pool Facility. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS – Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguarding, First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for Professional Rescuers issued by the American Red Cross or an equivalent certification. NOTE: THIS IS A POSITION OF TRUST. Those eligible that are under final consideration for appointment will be required to authorize the release of Federal & State criminal conviction information, a Child Protective Services Check and submit to drug and alcohol testing.
