The ECS Program Manager reports to the Assistant Director and conducts daily responsibilities of center operations, ensuring that guidelines and quality standards established by the JCC and Early Childhood School are being met. This includes ensuring that the JCC mission, culture, values, and policies are being implemented daily. The Program Manager will assume the responsibility of the business and overall functions of all office systems in conjunction with other members of the management team. Specific job responsibilities will include but are not limited to staff scheduling, documentation related to child records, teacher training records, implementation of ECS events, ordering food items weekly while being mindful of the monthly budget, etc. The Program Manager completes all required training, including child abuse and neglect, as well as understanding the role of being a mandated reporter. The Program Manager may also assist in providing ratio support in the classrooms as needed periodically. Specific responsibilities will be assigned to balance the skills and responsibilities of the Director and Assistant Director as well as meet the needs of the Early Childhood School.
Leadership, customer service, creating processes for implementing systems to ensure quality and compliance as well as the ability to partner with families and teachers will be vital to this role. Complying with all licensing standards is mandatory as well as complying with health and safety guidelines by completing checklists and being familiar with licensing standards. Maintaining the culture and mission of the JCC is vital as well as being a good role model and collaborative with teachers. Open and respectful communication is expected as well as responding quickly and appropriately as issues arise. Assisting in maintaining records in accordance with guidelines established by our state licensing is also a requirement of this position.
