Primary responsibility:

This role is an exciting and dynamic role that reports directly to the Billing and Collections Manager. Your primary responsibility is to ensure clients are billed properly and pay within their terms. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure customers are billed properly and balances owed are collected in a timely manner.

Billing Responsibilities:

• Create and issue invoices to customers per their process.
• Maintain customer contact information.
• Manage accessorial approvals required for invoicing.
• Mange unbilled report.
• Work with Operations to review customer process, rates, and claims if applicable.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

• Research and resolve account discrepancies.
• Run customer financial statements weekly for all assigned accounts.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
• Generate reports and statements for internal use.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and answer customer queries.
• Monitor all payments and prepare weekly billing/AR reports.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree is helpful.
• Previous experience as a billing clerk or in a similar role. Trucking experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn new software programs quickly. Great Plains experience a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills with ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
