Atlas is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our administrative team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth financial operations, accurate billing processes, and maintaining positive relationships with parents and guardians.
Responsibilities:
- Billing Operations:
- Generate and send invoices for tuition and additional services promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of student billing information.
- Address billing inquiries and provide clear and timely responses to parents or guardians.
Financial Transactions:
- Monitor records to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Monitor and track tuition payments, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of efficient billing processes.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate with parents or guardians regarding billing matters and tuition payment plans.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure consistent and accurate information is provided to families.
Record-Keeping:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of billing transactions.
- Generate and analyze reports related to financial transactions for reporting purposes.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements related to billing and financial transactions.
- Stay informed about changes in billing regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
*Education:
- Associate's degree with some college coursework in ether accounting, finance, billing or business administration
*Experience:
- Proven experience in billing, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
- Familiarity with accounting software and billing systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
*Detail-Oriented:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work with numbers and perform basic calculations.
*Organizational Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time position, with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the preschool.
- Fully remote position
- The Billing Specialist will work closely with the administrative team and report to the CEO.
