Atlas Immersion Academy is looking to grow their Mandarin Immersion Teaching Team at their school located in the Hillsboro area with one or more kid-loving, patient, team-spirited and kind individuals. Our Team includes Lead Teachers and Teaching Assistants depending on their childcare educational credentials, experience and Spanish language proficiency.

Our Mandarin Teacher would:

• Implement the Atlas Curriculum (which we will train you on) with a specified age group.
• Create fun and interactive learning experiences and prepare kids for their next level of education.
• Manage the routine and environment of the classroom to ensure a safe and nurturing space for all.
• Observe & Assess : observing and documenting development of children, and evaluating the achievement of developmental milestones
• Communicate : on an everyday basis with parents through an app, weekly emails on curriculum, respectful in-person interactions to achieve success for the child.

Both the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher play a vital role through,

• Nurturing the healthy development of a class of children over the course of the year
• Speak in Mandarin to the children at all times.
• With Teacher Assistants helping the Lead Teacher in daily classroom management (including health and sanitation practices) playing an additional positive role model for the children in the room!

We are most interested in talking to applicants that bring with them:

• Passion for working with children and building a rapport with them
• For Lead Teachers - previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (min. 1 year)
• For Teaching Assistants - A fondness for children and an eagerness to embark on a career working with them.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
• Fluency in Mandarin for Lead Teachers, Intermediate Fluency for Teacher Assistants
• A positive and patient demeanor.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. (we do not sponsor visas)
• Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry
