**Pastry Packer | Pastry Production**

The position of the Pastry Packer is responsible for carefully packaging finished Pastry products and storing them properly for dispatching to our NYC Stores. The Packer is expected to also assist the pastry production in preparing quality pastry items according to Maison Kayser standards and recipes while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

**Task/Requirements:**

* Packaging all finished Pastry products depending on operational needs and day to day store orders in a freezer up to -4 Fahrenheit (Gear is provided)

* Ensure correct quantity of products for each store is ready, packed and assigned correctly

* Responsible for reviewing quality assurance for all pastry items being dispatched to the stores while adhering to Maison Kayser's high quality standards

* Assist in organizing and managing stocks in storage units and freezers

* Rotate all bulk pastry items by following FIFO guidelines

* Keep all areas cleaned and maintain cleanliness of storage units and freezers

* Assist with other duties as assigned by Commissary/Pastry Management

**Minimum Requirements:**

* Must be a team player and have a can-do attitude

* Availability to work shifts of 8am or 5pm, weekend and holidays

* Ability to work in varying temperatures ranging from 35F to -05F

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs and must be able to push or pull up to 150lbs during the shift

* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

**Education and Experience:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

* Minimum 6 months experience working in high volume food production packaging items preferred
