Main Street Realty is looking for a positive, motivated, and customer focused individual who is ready to assist our Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of our beautiful, historically renovated, luxury apartment communities. The ideal Assistant Property Manager must have the ability to manage multiple employees, balance a variety of responsibilities, display strong customer service skills, and be detail oriented and highly organized. Some responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments
  • Maintain occupancy while providing superior customer service to current tenants and prospective tenants
  • Support Property Manager and act as Manager in their absence
  • Assist with property marketing activities
  • Prepare and send notice of returned checks, late rent reminders, and other correspondence as assigned
  • Resolve resident complaints, answer resident questions, and monitor the resolution of problems.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property.

Skills

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and computer proficient
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to balance multiple responsibilities at once
  • The following items, while not required, are things that draw our attention when looking for stand-out candidates:
  • At least (1) year working in the property management industry
  • Experience working with Yardi property management software

Normal Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

We offer the following benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on an hourly rate plus additional compensation in commissions
