MacQueen Equipment is Hiring a Parts and Service Manager Near Williston, ND

Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Branch Parts & Service department to include purchasing management, inventory control, personnel management, and customer issue resolution while leading the team to obtain the highest levels of customer satisfaction and department performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure the department’s compliance with all safety and environmental health guidelines.
  • Provide guidance, measurement, and oversight of all parts and service transactions.
  • Manage WIP daily and coordinate parts orders to end users and service staff to meet department goals through prioritization of work, appropriate scheduling of resources, and customer experience management.
  • Manage the planning, hiring, evaluating and development of Branch staff
  • Manage Service processes and staff to ensure all service work to be performed in CDK is quoted
  • Oversee to completion all Branch level tasks as assigned
  • Reviews technical bulletins, product improvement programs and other campaigns to identify affected repairs and assists Technicians in finding service information for equipment and component repairs
  • Assist the Director of Ops with the development of accurate annual and longer-range budget/forecast plans
  • Other duties as assigned.

o Understanding of financial performance inputs and familiarization with financial definitions: GM, OpEx, OpInc & EBITDA

o Understanding of interdepartmental relationships and effectively manage outcomes across departments

o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ direct industry experience or 5 years in related industry
  • Internal applicants: Acceptable level of safety, rework, and productivity in prior roles

  • B.S.

ADA Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently
  • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
  • Occasional climbing to reach areas on equipment or racks
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
  • Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
  • Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may include moving mechanical parts
  • Travel by air or car occasionally
