Position Summary

At Mackin, the Manager - Human Resources is a dynamic leader who shapes the HR landscape by devising strategic initiatives and offering guidance to both employees and leadership. This pivotal role demands a seasoned HR professional with an exceptional ability to lead, strategize, and collaborate, fostering an environment of growth and excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Oversee work in areas relating to each stage of the employee life-cycle process
  • Formulate and execute HR strategies that intricately align with Mackin’s key goals, orchestrating a harmonious relationship between HR practices and business outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by guiding and inspiring the HR team, articulating clear goals, and providing constructive feedback to foster their professional development
  • Oversee and drive the complete spectrum of the recruitment process, from strategic workforce planning to talent acquisition and successful onboarding
  • Cultivate a culture of engagement and collaboration, spearheading initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity
  • Exhibit expertise in handling intricate employee relations matters, demonstrating the capacity to mediate conflicts, resolve issues, and ensure a harmonious work environment
  • Maintain vigilance over HR compliance, effectively navigating labor laws and regulations to ensure adherence and minimize risks
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and strategies to drive Mackin's growth
  • Skilfully manage compensation and benefits programs, managing salary reviews, benchmarking, and alignment with industry standards
  • Assist with all Mackin sponsored events and activities
  • Contribute to the overall success of Mackin by supporting internal departments, providing exemplary service to clients, and striving to meet on-going initiatives to grow and develop the company

Non-Essential Duties

  • Participate in job fairs and career fairs to support marketing initiatives and talent requisition
  • Participate in professional Human Resources conferences
  • Contribute and serve on committees and subcommittees
  • Support internal departments with HR and/or Administration tasks required to execute projects
  • Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, client relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly lead and mentor the HR Generalist, Assistant, and any other HR staff

Education and/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Years of Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Human Resources field or equivalent combination of education and experience, of which at least 2 years should be in a supervisory capacity

Education:

BA or BS Degree required

Degree or Formal Training:

Human Resources or Business Administration, or a related discipline

License, Certificate or Registration:

Although not required, a SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus
