Lumos is Hiring a Remote APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST

Job Summary
The Application Support Analyst role is primarily responsible for providing non-programming support of application systems. The application systems are a combination of internally developed systems and purchased packages.
This support is provided in the following ways:
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with purchased application system vendor support organizations with regard to issues, enhancements, and upgrades
  • Acts as liaison between our internal Help Desk, vendor or IT for purchased systems
  • Performs analysis to effectively understand, report and address application or process issues
  • Works closely with management and vendors to identify and prioritize issues requiring changes to applications
  • Work closely with business process team aligning requests to documented business processes and assist the business process team with developing solutions, workarounds or feature requests

  • Participates in application enhancements, upgrades, releases, etc identifying areas of change that impact documented business processes.
  • Provides direction and support to application developers when processes or application changes require knowledge of or changes to system functionality.
  • Works closely with the business to design and execute test scripts resulting from system changes as development progresses through environments.
  • Provides hands-on training to application trainers by developing job aids and providing other forms of documentation.

  • Makes recommendations for technical changes to applications.
  • Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, work-flows, campaigns and other
  • salesforce.com objects and functions.
  • Maintain, enhance and create declarative workflows, functions and configurations within the Salesforce.com environment.
  • Create and/or respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide
  • detailed information on how changes will apply to affected departments/users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Science preferred.Education:
  • 3 years of experience in application support with a preference for those who have experience providing support in a salesforce centered environment (Sales Cloud, Support Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Comms Cloud (Vlocity), Experience Cloud. Would be nice if have experience with GoTransverse (Billing), VC4 (Inventory Management), Symphonica (Provisioning) or 3-GIS (Geospatial Engineering) platforms. Experience:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical skills that allow candidate to make technical, quantitative and qualitative decisions as well as manage risk and business processes. Flexible in the face of complex, shifting prioritiesKey Competencies:
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to analyze issues and to work effectively with cross-functional groups to craft solutions • 1-2 years of experience working with various SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall Agile (Scrum and Kanban); experienced in the use of standard agile tools. • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies quickly • Familiarity with IT tools (i.e., IT FreshService, JIRA Software, JIRA Confluence, etc.) • Familiarity with collaboration tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom, Lucid, etc.) • Familiarity with Saleforce.com - Understanding of Objects (Standard and Custom), navigating between Classic and Lightning modes, and researching issues related to APEX triggers and classes, as well as understanding how to research issues using flows, process builder, workflows, metadata, and data models, etc.Qualifications:
