Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the field of human resources.
Duties:
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
- Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Coordinate employee training programs and maintain training records
- Assist with performance management processes, including employee evaluations and goal setting
- Support HR team in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and answering employee inquiries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Previous experience in an administrative role or HR assistant role is a plus
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft or Kronos is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Skills:
- Knowledge of human capital management principles and practices
- Program management skills to assist with various HR initiatives
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex or Paylocity is a plus
- Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
