This position has flexibility to be either a full-time or part-time role.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting accounting team with day to day accounting operations, specifically surrounding accounts payable, employee reimbursements, account reconciliations
- Enter vendor invoices into accounting system with appropriate expense classifications
- Collect employee reimbursement receipts and confirm validity against corporate policies
- Classify and review receipts for company credit card transactions; input to accounting software
- Complete vendor bank verifications
- Participate in monthly close, journal entries, accruals, expense reports, and other duties as assigned
- Perform month end variance analysis of expense accounts to confirm classifications and correct missed or erroneous postings
- Implement, adhere to, and assist in revisions to system of internal controls as directed by Controller
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus
- Previous experience in an accounts payable role required
- Competent in U.S. GAAP standards
- Advanced Excel skills, and capable of handling large sets of data
- Netsuite experience a plus
- Ability to work independently, and manage time effectively - capable of handling widely varied responsibilities and several competing priorities
- Thrives in a fast-changing environment with a high willingness to learn
