Loft 412 is Hiring an Assistant Manager Near Pittsburgh, PA

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the smoking world- whether it be hookah, vapes, or marijuana! The assistant manager at The Loft 412's main goal is to assist the manager in pushing the goals of the store forward and ensure that said procedures are followed for selling products, serving guests, and maintaining the store’s quality. The assistant manager makes sure that all staff act in a way that promotes guest satisfaction and handles any issues or complaints. The assistant manager implements training for employees. They must also oversee facility upkeep, ensuring that the areas are clean and meet standards. Additionally, the assistant manager assists with the cafe’s cost controls by helping maintain systems to manage product waste, inventory, labor costs, and breakage. The assistant manager lets the manager know when arrangements for repairs and facilities maintenance are needed as well as orders for products.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce sanitary practices for hookah handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist employees to complete opening, closing and prep lists in a timely manner
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food hookah preparation and service
  • Assist in overseeing inventory, costs, provision and purchasing
  • Manage total guest experience, ensuring optimal care and service
  • Maintain proper safety/security procedures to ensure welfare of employees, guests and company assets; reducing the risk of accidents and injuries
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning quality and service
  • Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural matters
  • Develop employees by helping with reviewing performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and by assisting in conducting annual performance reviews
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of staffing needs
  • Provide strong presence in local community, aiding in a high level of community involvement by cafe and personnel
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all tobacco products offered.
