*This position is currently full-time telework with the ability to work out of our Tysons, VA HQ at least every other week.*

Responsibilities
    Supports all areas of human resources including HR technology, talent management, talent acquisition, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Performs a variety of HR administration tasks such as, responding to employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures, maintaining HR information systems, HR forms, background investigations, employment verifications, tuition reimbursements, service anniversaries, supporting onboarding and exit interviewing processes.
  • Recommends and supports process improvements and automation efforts for current programs.
  • Supports HR team with emerging projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Current student enrolled at an accredited graduate or undergraduate program and in good standing.
  • Pursuing a degree in human resources, business, organizational development/management, workforce development, human capital, marketing or related discipline.
  • Completion (or near completion) of a bachelor's degree by Spring/Summer 2024 is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available full-time starting in May/June 2024
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all business matters.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Perform general office duties, such as maintain paper and electronic files and databases, perform basic data entry, scan documents and save to network, prepare mailings, and deliver inter-office transmittals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HR information systems is a plus

Other Information

  • Interns will need to provide their own transportation to and from work and locate and arrange for their own housing.
  • All intern positions at LMI are paid positions.
