The Mather, Tysons is Hiring an Administrative and Human Resources Assistant Near Tysons, VA

We are seeking an Administrative and Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Tysons, VA. This opportunity will provide administrative support for the VP & General Manager, Director of Human Resources, and general support for the Tysons Leadership Team. Facilitate publication of resident and team member communications and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides team members and visitors to the Administration office a Nextraordinary experience including welcoming candidates, new hires, and visitors, answering telephones, and responding to emails.
  • Maintains office supplies, copy room supplies, distributes incoming and outgoing mail, and relays messages to the Tysons Leadership team. 
  • Assists with planning and coordinating events for the Tysons Leadership team. Events for the Director of Human Resources may include job fairs, new hire orientation and training sessions. This includes room reservation and set up with Building Services, coordination of food and beverage with Culinary, technology needs and décor, and other logistics to support a successful event.
  • Coordinates and executes resident facing communications through Vitec, and team member communications through other methods (paper, email, Team Member IRBI Lounge flyers etc.).
  • Prepares and coordinates new hire communications for first day onboarding.
  • Supports team member engagement and culture in all interactions and supports creation of events and memorable moments that reflect Mather’s core values.
  • Provides administrative support as needed to the Vice President and General Manager, Director of Human Resources and the Tysons Leadership Team.
  • Manage confidential information, adhering to HIPAA regulations and practicing discretion at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Office administration experience
  • Proven track record in providing excellent customer service to visitors and guests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and technological abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling multiple priorities through.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs.

Preferred:

  • Experience in hospitality or senior living related field.
  • Bilingual with working knowledge of Spanish preferred
