Job Description: Litigation Paralegal
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal to join our prestigious law firm in Miami. The managing partner is a pleasant person to work for. Responsibilities:
Legal Research : Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on relevant laws, statutes, regulations, and case precedents to support case strategy and legal arguments.
Document Preparation : Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and subpoenas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court rules and deadlines.
Client Communication : Interact with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel professionally and compassionately, responding to inquiries and providing updates on case progress.
Investigation Support : Assist in gathering and organizing evidence, including medical records, accident reports, photographs, and witness statements, to support the legal team's case preparation.
Trial Preparation : Collaborate with the attorney in preparing for trials, arbitrations, and mediations, which may involve organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and drafting trial-related documents.
Depositions and Interviews : Assist in conducting interviews with clients and witnesses, as well as preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
Administrative Tasks : Manage and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines, ensuring all necessary documentation is organized and easily accessible.
Legal Compliance : Stay updated on changes in legislation and court rules relevant to personal injury law, ensuring all legal filings and procedures are in compliance with applicable regulations.
Professional Development : Keep abreast of developments in personal injury law through ongoing education and training, enhancing your skills and knowledge in the field.
Qualifications:
Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years of experience working as a paralegal, with a strong focus on litigation. Experience in a reputable law firm or with a top attorney in the field is highly desirable.
Research and Writing Skills : Possess excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate effectively in written documents.
Organizational Skills : Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Display strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, witnesses, and colleagues.
