Position Summary 

The Development Director is responsible for oversight of Lawndale Christian Health Center’s portfolio of philanthropic support from individual contributions, major donors, and private foundations. The Director develops and executes fundraising plans for the health center, including fundraising events, donor strategy, and stewarding key relationships with contacts from organizational leaders.

• Commitment to upholding the mission of Lawndale Christian Health Center 
• Strong administrative, personnel management, problem-solving and project management skills. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work well with the variety of ages, cultures, and backgrounds represented among LCHC staff, patients, and donors.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collect, manipulate, and analyze data to measure outcomes and performance. 
• Robust familiarity with Chicago/Illinois fundraising landscape. 
• Familiarity with the healthcare system and the non-profit landscape in Chicago’s west side preferred. 

Required Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/ Registration 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising and philanthropy
• Bachelor’s Required. Master's degree or CFRE designation preferred. 
• Prior experience in management of large donor portfolio
