Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule appointments
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks
- Draft correspondence and communicate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with the court
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
- Previous experience working as a litigation paralegal is required
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft legal documents and correspondence accurately
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
