Overview:
Busy neurosurgery office is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records. Must be dependable, reliable & pay attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of a medical office and make a positive impact on patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures

-Post hospital charges
- Prepare and submit primary and secondary insurance claims electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Update patient records with accurate billing information
- Collaborate with the medical office team to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes

-Salary - based on experience

Requirements:

-Knowledge of Nevada insurances and authorizations a must
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and terminology
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and regulations related to medical billing

Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Medical Billing or related field is a plus
- Experience with medical collections is an asset
