This position prepares and edits medical claims for submission, both hard copy and electronically, to various 3rd party payors and clearinghouses. 

**Please Note** The office is based in Las Vegas, NV where we work Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote)

If you are able to visit the Las Vegas office, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and work through specific billing discrepancies
• Must be able to process through minimum of 50 accounts/claims per day
• Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function
• Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
• Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
• Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
• May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities
• Resolve most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher level

Required Qualifications: 

• High School education or GED
• 1 years of A/R Medical Billing experience including Claims Status, AR follow-up and Claim Appeals/Reconsiderations
• Experience with and understanding of ICD10 and CPT coding - including modifiers
• Commercial Payers in Billing/AR experience
• Proven solid data entry skills which includes 10-key by touch
• Demonstrated basic computer skills with MS Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Allscripts Practice Management (APM) experience
• Proven excellent written and oral Communication
