Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Clerk. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a healthcare setting. This is an important role that ensures accurate and efficient record-keeping for patient care.
Duties:
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date
- Retrieve and file medical records as needed for patient appointments and consultations
- Scan and digitize paper records into electronic systems
- Assist healthcare providers in locating and accessing patient records as needed
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient information
- Maintain an organized filing system for easy retrieval of medical records
- Assist with data entry tasks related to patient information and medical records
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of basic medical concepts
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
