We are actively searching for an experienced General Manager for the recurring services division, with a proven track record of leadership and growth within the landscape industry to join our innovative team. This individual needs to be self-motivated, requires limited direction, capable of supporting a team, and can manage business activities and finances.

Some of the General Manager’s key responsibilities are:

• Delegate and organize the work of others by role description and procedures.
• Effectively audit performance of staff. (i.e., hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, etc.)
• Train, direct and evaluate staff regarding landscaping systems knowledge to minimize risks.
• Build and maintain rapport and positive working relations with internal staff and external partners to resolve problems, capitalize on opportunities and maximize revenue and profit.
• Meet planned growth, profit, maintenance base and customer retention goals through leadership and management of staff.
• Monitor all billing to assure optimum cash flow.
• Ensure a positive work culture including a safety-first mentality.
• Establish policies to assure customer retention while maintaining profit objectives.
• Formulate annual financial business goals and teach the team to exceed those goals.
• Improve/maintain company culture.

Job requirements:

• At least 5 years in a management role, landscape industry experience is a plus.
• Skilled in leadership, coaching and motivating others to help overcome daily work challenges.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Must have experience with financial sales reports, annual planning/budgeting, and forecasting.
• Sales experience in a service-based industry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification
• Understand the goals of the organization and assure the redemption of the annual financial plan.
• Recognize where the team is succeeding and facing challenges.
• Communicate earnestly and effectively with the team and LandOpt Success Coach
• Conduct regular PAR meetings with the management team.
• Function as both motivator and disciplinarian
• Understanding of how sales drive the business operating system.
• Cope with change and help others to cope with change.
• Interact with customers when appropriate.
