- Assist in the daily administration of company benefit programs, including interaction with employees, spouses, retirees, and beneficiaries to answer basic questions or refer to appropriate provider.
- Assist in resolving benefit related issues for employees.
- Provide general administrative support to the benefits team, including, but not limited to answering phones, assisting employees with questions, and resolving issues, filing and shredding documents, sort incoming mail and faxes.
- Conduct benefit related presentations (e.g., new employee orientation).
- Assist employees with benefit plan enrolment and answer any related questions.
- Interact with benefit plan and retirement plan record keepers to provide information.
- Update and distribute plan forms and communications.
- Assist in the management of online benefit information including posting, reviewing, and maintaining content on the company intranet.
- Compile data for various benefits related projects.
- Troubleshoot problems associated with benefit claims and interact with plan administrators, as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; an emphasis in Human Resources Management or Marketing is preferred.
- Previous leave of absence administration or processing experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and external vendors.
- Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions of work stream within a fast-paced environment.
- This position requires strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Must be professional, self-starter and willing to be flexible.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
